Next step is teaching their cats how to flush the toilet when they are finished. Haha!

Years ago we had the "squat" toilet. Cat's hind legs were in the dry part of the bowl & fore legs on the floor-no training nec for cat. Human was trained to tug at the chain. It was easier/cheaper than cleaning out present-day litter boxes. And you don't have to share the toilet seat with yr cat ;)

Anonymous back in the 1980's my parent's cat toilet-trained learned by himself how to use pedestal "squat" toilet. It is just like what you mentioned "cat's hind legs were in the dry part of the bowl & fore legs on the floor - no training nec for cat."
Yeah! I agree the best part of pedestal toilet is, we don't have to share the toilet seat with our cat.

Maybe it's time we went back to squat toilets - for cats at least :)

I just purchased a set of Litter Kwitter Cat/Cat Toilet Traiing System after watching some cats using toilet at youtube (google it average price is $US59). I have a 6-year old cat and 2 kittens. I love them like my own children. Keep them safe indoor and walk them with harness/leash or build them an enclosure. Cats live 15-20 years indoor, average of 3-7 years outdoor.Either they were hit by cars or bitten to death by larger animals. Will let people know how the cat toilet training go.

Help spray/neuter all cats with donation or adoption- if you are a vet, please give a day per month of community service to reduce the number of poor stray cats.
