Territory

Here's an interesting article about rats not straying from their territory. There have also been reports of how birds seem to know how to know how to return to their territory after migrating every year. It seems that somehow animals have an instinct on where to return - and a strong territorial instinct. Perhaps this explains how lost cats and dogs find their way home - though we still don't know how.
