Air purifying litter box

Air purifying litter box, originally uploaded by dawnkua.

I just saw this today at a pet shop here in the US - I wonder if it really does absorb the smells. This would be a godsend for people who are out for long periods of time, as well as those with multiple cats.

Oh my! Definitely a godsend if it works!

The smell of the litter box with 3 cats in the house is unbelieveable!

Will the motorized noise scare some cats away?

....whisper quiet 6-volt fan with foam pre-filter and an activated charcoal and zeolite filter to control litter box odors, trap dust, and reduce air particles. Unique filter indicator lights visually indicate when the filters need to be changed (approximately every 6-8 weeks).

Seriously i cannot imagine changing litter once every 6 weeks!! It is more like changing everytime you look at the box.

The rule is: more complicated, more to wash.

I think it's the filter that is supposed to be changed - not the litter. Also, as anonymous said, it's supposed to be very quiet, but whether this is the case, I really don't know as I haven't used it.

so will you buy it Dawn? Do share if it really works well :)
Do you remember how much it cost at the shop?

It's $119.99 - you can see the little sticker at the bottom. I'm not going to get it yet :)

I saw another one at the petsmart website. This one seems like a godsend! Works like a flushing toilet.

Price is not cheap though.

This does look good - and the one reviewer seems to like it. You're right though - it isn't cheap.
