AVA's stand is obviously tilted to people who dislike or have phobia of cats.

"With regard to stray cats, it does not matter how or why the complaints come about. The fact is Town Councils and AVA receive complaints regarding nuisance caused by stray cats. Unlike interest groups such as the Cat Welfare Society (CWS) who are passionate about stray cats, there are others who do not like cats or are fearful of them. Hence a balanced approach is needed, which takes into account the good intentions of cat lovers such as yourself, as well as interests of people who are affected by stray cat nuisance or who have a phobia of stray cats. When the SCRS was discontinued, it was agreed between the CWS, Town Councils and AVA that sterilised stray cats would be removed and culled if the cats are found in eating places or create nuisance in the neighbourhood."

I have a long list of things I am fearful of. I wonder if the town council will entertain me if I write to them or tick me off for being seow so why are cat phobic complainants be accorded VIP treatment?

Surely the obvious solution to people with cat phobia is to help them to overcome their fear than to remove the objects of their fear!
In fact "guided" exposure to cats may help them to be cured!

Yes I do find that unusual - it isn't a 'balanced' approach. It's a 'biased' approach.
