Redemption offer

Redemption is a fantastic book - and I've passed my copy around to several people. Here's an excellent offer - now all you have to do is try and get your TC officers to ask for it AND read it :) Easier said than done I know, but I was just reading an email from someone with a sympathetic TC officer who is putting up animal welfare posters. Perhaps those are the people we should try and target first.

Ask TC officer if he/she is interested in a free book. If answer is "yes"....
write the letter out on behalf of TC & email to relevant officer so officer just needs to print on offical stationary.
Write out the address on envelope and stick on required stamps if necessary too!! TC gets a free book. If officers read it so much the better.

Great idea Anonymous - that way the TC officer doesn't have to put in any extra effort. The easier it is for them, the more likely they are to get it.

And I believes those AVA fellows need to read this book too.Especially our dear trap loan pushing Mr Madhavan:
Seletar Hill residents get catty over strays - TNP March 27.

http://www.tnp.sg/news/story/0,4136,197035,00.html?

"Mr Madhavan Kannan, head of AVA's Centre for Animal Welfare and Control, said those troubled by strays are informed about AVA's free loan of cat traps and free collection of trapped cats."

OOps, Dawn, it stated:
'No Substitutions, exceptions,or freelance writers.U.S. addresses only.Limit one per person.'

So offer not valid for Singapore's addresses?

" Another resident was fingered as the culprit for the cat burials because he is known as an avid cat trapper.

Netizens posted his address online and threatened to harm him."

Huh, since when?

EJ - oops I didn't see that, but try writing anyway. I think they'd be glad to know the book is going overseas too. I'm sure if postage is an issue something can be worked out.

Anonymous - I have no idea. The Net is so large though that anything is possible I suppose!

Anonymous, someone did posted the 'famous' cat trapper's name and address on a Singapore pet chat forum. Can't remember which forum now, quite a while back.

Dawn, I will check the bookstores here. If not, I will order on amazon.ca. I loves this description: 'the book shatters the notion that killing animals in U.S. shelters is an act of kindness'.

I got my copy off Amazon too and got another copy to pass around to others to read. I found it fascinating.
