I was at Petsmart today and there were gorgeous kittens up for adoption. Some girls walked by and they mentioned that one of the cats there was too old - he was an adult, perhaps a year or two. It is a shame that older cats find it so difficult to find a home.

I agree, it's a shame. Kittens are cute but so much work! Especially for first-time cat owners, some may not have expected those cute balls of fur not only need a lot of care, they can be little nasty monsters too, haha... Seriously, adult cats are so stable and easier to manage. Do not understand why some people are so fixated on the idea that young means good. Older cats can grow very attached and affectionate to their new owners as well.
