No feeding of pigeons

No feeding of pigeons, originally uploaded by dawnkua.

Thanks to Chinky for sending this in - we were both commenting that it seems that some posters at least try and explain about littering, and not leaving food around. An improvement at least!

If bird seeds/food are/is consumed by birds/pigeons within a short time, it will definitely help to reduce "littering".

If the correct bird food (ask for advice from bird-shop) is offered & there is a routine, feeding of birds is usually very fast.
"My" birds (mainly spotted doves, sparrows, mynahs & a couple of crows now&then) know my feeding time & wld wait for me every morning. i give sufficient amt, not increasing & birds would feed & disperse in 5 mins. Not a single seed left. It is to supplement their intake & to encourage them to look for their own food. Just sharing, not suggesting that it is in any way better than anybody else.

However, if dried left-over bread, stale rice is left out in the open sporadically-it may not be consumed as quickly.

Think: feed responsibly & i think others would understand.
